This course is designed to prepare the Entry Level Corrections Officer to the Senior Corrections Officer to be an effective leader at a critical incident. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of current tactics, with an emphasis on the use of a four-step Critical Incident Response Plan that will be developed in class. The student will participate in tabletop exercises that will allow them to apply the Critical Incident Response Plan to a wide variety of critical incidents in correctional institutions.
