This course is designed to prepare the Senior Corrections Officer, Supervisors and Managers in a corrections institution to be an effective leader at a Critical Incident. The course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of current tactics, with an emphasis on the use of a four-step Critical Incident Response Plan that will be developed in class. The student will be exposed to case studies and will participate in tabletop exercises that will allow them to apply the Critical Incident Response Plan to a wide variety of critical incidents in corrections institutions.
