We have taught components of this course across the United States. Our instructors will come to your facility to teach your students. DESCRIPTION: This 2 and 1/2 day -- 20 hour course is designed to provide continuing education and skills improvement for the law enforcement Crisis Negotiator. The goal of this course is to increase the proficiency of the experienced Crisis Negotiator and to review recent incidents and new approaches. Students are encouraged to bring case studies to share with the class. TOPICS: Overview and Practical Application Discussion of Traditional Methods and Practices Examining New Approaches and Experienced Based Strategies Leadership and Team Building Role of the Experienced Negotiator Scenario and Agency Based Training Department Training for First Responders, Tactical Units and Incident Commanders Psychological Issues with Communications and Personality Disorders Language and Cultural Challenges Use of Interpreters Interagency Cooperation Worst Case Scenarios of: Cops, Kids, Schools and Terrorists. |
