Law Enforcement Awareness at Urban Interface FiresThis POST certified one day 8 hour course is designed to give first responding Law Enforcement personnel the ability to work together with other disciplines during an Urban Interface Fire. Participants will learn the priorities of the first operational period, how to prepare for the inevitable UIF, how to stay safe in a fire environment and how to manage the flow of information and resources associated with an UIF event.
Negotiations With The Terrorist MindsetThis course is designed to prepare the hostage/crisis negotiator to better respond to the terrorist event where hostages are taken or suspects are barricaded and negotiations are to be considered as a possible. This training identifies event typology and possibilities as acts of both international terrorism and domestic events. Students are taught to supplement existing negotiations skills and approaches with techniques for effective communications with parties involved in these event types. A series of case studies and class exercises allow students to apply knowledge and skill sets gained from the course.

Report Writing and Courtroom TestimonyThis is a 1 - day, 8 hour STC certified course designed for the adult corrections officer and supervisor, or the juvenile corrections officer and supervisor. It covers the fundamentals of report writing from correct grammar, sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, and the proper chronological construction of a report. Proofreading techniques will be discussed. It will also include the three phase method of the interview process. The student will learn what the legal aspects are and how to write reports from a liability aspect, including Courtroom Testimony. Students will also participate in practical exercises related to Report Writing.
