 Adam McGill is currently the Chief of Police for the City of Newman, California and a former lieutenant with the Modesto, CA. Police Department. While at the Modesto Police Department Adam served as a Patrol Watch Commander, Critical Incident Team Commander, and Commander of a multi-jurisdictional major drug enforcement unit, Stanislaus Drug Enforcement Agency (SDEA). Adam brings over 16 years of experience in law enforcement and has served in various investigative and leadership capacities. Adam teaches a variety of topics through various venues. His passion is in the area of criminal law, criminal justice leadership, followership, and management as well as critical incident response. He has made presentations throughout California to the law enforcement community and law enforcement community partners. Adam is a regular presenter with the popular law enforcement training group, DPREP LLC. Adam possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach. Adam completed the International Association of Chief’s of Police course on Leadership in Police Organizations in 2005 and holds California POST certificates Basic through Management.
