Among his many accomplishments, Tim served on the POST Blue Ribbon Committee for the Negotiations component of AB991, the current law in the State of California that developed the Tactical Team Standards and Training throughout the State.

Sgt. Hunter is currently serving as the State Conference Chair for the California Association of Hostage Negotiators – CAHN, and is a Senior Instructor in Hostage Negotiations for D-Prep, LLC.

In addition to several years of providing in-house training for the Sacramento PD, Tim has also presented classes at the CA Hostage Negotiators events statewide, at the California Tactical Dispatcher Association’s annual conference and has presented Hostage Negotiations curriculum at the first annual Negotiator’s Conference at the Beijing People’s Police College in 2004.
